booking a appointment can be very arduous, constantly redialing until you get a answer , there must be a better way of booking appointments.
Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your concerns. In conjunction with our telephone suppliers we are looking at ways of improving our telephone system so that patients do have to continually redial to get through to the surgery.
A water fountain in the waiting room would be a useful addition.
Appointments variable in availability. Hard to get through for an emergency appt at 8:30. Non urgent appts several weeks to wait. When there works smoothly
The appointment system is very challenging and actively discriminates against people who feel very unwell! It is exhausting and stressful to sit redialling over and over only to find potentially that all the appointments are gone.
I feel very strongly that every doctor and nurse in the practice should have a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the menopause and treatment, i.e. HRT. The menopause is not an obscure illness. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon which happens to every woman, ( 1 in a hundred below the age of forty) and has many, many symptoms. To my dismay I have discovered that GPs generally are not educated about the menopause as a matter of course and priority. It would be fantastic if the practice really sought to tackle this problem and made sure that every medical and nursing member of staff has the appropriate training. Be a flagship practice for the menopause! It's much needed!
It is almost impossible to get a same day appt without having to go and stand in the cold at 8am to get in the queue. Phones are constantly engaged so by the time you get through no appts
If you try to book an appt it won’t be available for weeks. Not easy to get an ongoing relationship with the same doctor as they change.
